Radiant Canada’s newest location is now up and running in iPort Caledon.
The facility utilizes Körber’s latest voice-directed warehouse solution.
TORONTO, CA: Radiant’s new warehouse is now up and running. The facility is located within iPort Caledon, a brand new, tier-1 logistics campus with close proximity to eight major highways, CN & CP intermodal terminals as well as Pearson Airport.
Says Chris Holtved from HOOPP | Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan: “We designed iPort Caledon to be a best-in-class large scale logistics park to attract the most sophisticated operators in North America. We are thrilled that Radiant has chosen iPort as a key part of their Canadian network.”
This new facility reinforces both the growth that Radiant is experiencing and the strategic direction the company is taking in Canada to better serve their clients.
Harry Smit, SVP, Country Manager for Radiant Canada says, “We’re excited to expand our Canadian network. Our newest location will support our growth and the expansion of state of the art technologies, to deliver leading edge warehouse services to our customers. Along with more space, this new warehouse was designed so that our team can handle our clients products more efficiently.”
In tandem with this ideal location, Radiant has also implemented Körber’s (formerly HighJump) voice-directed warehouse solution. Körber’s warehouse management system (WMS) has long been part of Radiant’s toolbox. While the WMS grows with the business, Radiant has been looking to streamline and replace manual processes in an easy and scalable way. In an environment where flexibility, adaptability, and precision are everything, the voice-picking system by Körber allows workforces to complete tasks more ergonomically and efficiently.
Bill Ryan, Chief Executive Officer – North America at Körber Supply Chain Software says “Our solutions help companies maximize productivity and gain deeper visibility as products move into the warehouse”, says. He adds: “Voice technology offers a simple, intuitive way to empower the workforce and resources you already have. It improves safety, eliminates operational inefficiencies by up to 25% and simplifies training, allowing workers to get up to speed quickly. In the end, voice technology can enable companies like Radiant to be one step ahead of the complexities that the labor market is posing in these unique times.”
